Organizing yet another one of its “midis” (lunches) as conferences held in Luxembourg, dedicated to the issues of and changes in the financial inclusion industry, ADA touched the topic of Islamic microfinance
and its potential to expand financial inclusion in its most recent such event on December 14th. As only 0.5% of global microfinance institutions offer the services and products responding to Islamic financing principles, the discussion comes as a response to the inquiry of whether Islamic microfinance sector has the potential to reach the scale required to respond to the demand for financial services in Muslim majority countries.
